The EHS Solar ProjectAfter gaining some experience from their past solar project attempt, the E.Y.E.S. Solar Team is back trying now to work with the administration at Edison High School, Edison, NJ to go solar. The idea of this project is the same as the HHMS Solar project (about which you can read below.) We want to provide the school board with a simply, efficient and inexpensive way to place solar panels on the various areas of the school roof. Although at this early stage, their are many ways to go, our team now understands the problems we face and already have come up with plans to solve them. Wish us luck and join the E.Y.E.S. Team here!

The History of the Solar Schools Project
The 1st Solar Schools Project: HHMS Solar is a project E.Y.E.S. started in 2011 in which we were trying to facilitate the installation of solar panels on Herbert Hoover Middle School's (HHMS) roof. After months of work putting together a presentation (you can see it below) for the HHMS Solar project, we were on the road to getting this crazy but incredible project on its way.
Basically, we need three groups to say "yes" to our idea. We had discussed our presentation with the middle school's principal and he liked it. One "Yes". Then, we talked to our schools head custodian who told us about the schools previous attempts to go solar and financial difficulties they faced. We also talked with the Supervisor of Facilities for Buildings & Grounds. Then we waited for a Presentation date for the Buildings & Grounds Meeting. That would have been our second "Yes". Our third "Yes" comes from the people deciding the school districts budget, and that may be one of the hardest parts. Maybe that sounds easy, but not for us.
By the time we were about to receive the Buildings & Grounds meeting date, the school year was over and the E.Y.E.S. Executive Team was going to Edison High School (EHS). That's when E.Y.E.S. collectively decided to change the projects name to EHS Solar and start fresh. That's where we are right now and we are going to need all the help we can get, so if you can, in any way, help us with this project, please contact us now. See the presentation we had made for Buildings & Grounds during HHMS Solar below.
