The EHS Orchard
The Edison High School Fruit Orchard is comprised of 15 trees planted in a courtyard in the middle of the school. Planting took place on Saturday, April 19th from 10am to 2pm by student volunteers as part of an Earth Week project. The EYES Edison club has been working for months to take care of the young trees which are now finally self-sustainable. We look forward to the first major harvest.
To cover some of the funds for the orchard, we are starting the Support A Tree campaign where you can adopt a tree for just $25. Of course, we'll be taking responsibility for the tree and all harvests, but you will receive a tree certificate, its first fruit, and the option to put a sign with your name on the tree. As always, donations are greatly appreciated.
